DPWH ISO 9001:20018 certification expanded

Staying true to its commitment to deliver services of international standards, a total of 54 offices of the Department of Public Works and Highways are now certified against the requirements of International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001:2015 standards after 35 new offices were awarded certification for the Department’s Quality Management System.

 ISO 9001:2015 Certification is an accreditation conducted by external certification bodies to ensure that an organization performs their inter-related processes with international standards.

 Included in the DPWH QMS ISO 9001:2015 Registration Expansion are the five Unified Project Management Offices (UPMO), the remaining 15 Regional Offices, and 15 District Engineering Offices (DEO) for a total of 35 offices.

In 2015, 19 DPWH offices were awarded certification including the nine Services and six Bureaus that comprise the Central Office; and two pilot Regional Offices (National Capital Region and Region XI), and two pilot District Engineering Offices.

The ISO 9001: 2015 Quality Management System was audited by a third party auditor, the Anglo Japanese American (AJA) Registrars. (DPWH)
